Houston Fire Department Firefighter EMT Robert Garner, 29, was killed in the line of duty while fighting a five-alarm fire at a hotel in southwest Houston on May 31, 2013. Firefighter Garner had been with the Houston Fire Department since October 2010 and was assigned to Station 68.
