Our mission is to provide immediate financial assistance to the dependent families of peace officers and firefighters who are killed or seriously injured in the line of duty and to provide life-saving equipment to local law enforcement agencies.

Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office | Lost in the line of duty January 15, 2025
Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jesus Vargas, who was assigned to the U.S. Marshals Service Task Force, was shot and killed in the line of duty while attempting to serve a felony warrant on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Deputy Vargas is survived by his wife and three young children.

Navasota Police Department Sergeant Mark Butler was fatally struck during a vehicle pursuit of a suspect traveling in the wrong direction. He had been with the agency for almost 4 years. He is survived by his wife and two young sons.
